Across the Affiliate Network, Catholic leaders are finding creative ways to strengthen faith, serve their neighbors, and celebrate rural life. These stories offer a glimpse of what is possible when local leadership, shared mission, and strong Catholic community come together.
Through the Rural Life Scholarship, the Diocese of Green Bay is investing in the next generation of rural leaders. One recipient, Abby Michels, used the scholarship to pursue veterinary medicine and now serves the same rural communities that first encouraged her.
The first Catholic Rural Life college chapter at Kansas State is helping students from rural communities find friendship, deepen their faith, and discover their place in the Church.
By creating a community where rural students feel seen, known, and supported, the chapter is preparing the next generation of leaders to serve rural America.
Each year, the Diocese of La Crosse gathers hundreds of people on a working family farm for Rural Life Day. The celebration includes Mass, blessings, fellowship, and recognition of the people whose faith and vocation help rural communities flourish.
