Catholic Rural Life warmly invites deacons to attend our Thriving in Rural Ministry Deacon Retreat, a five-day opportunity to step away from the daily demands of ministry and be renewed in your diaconal vocation.
Rooted in prayer, the retreat offers ample time to “come away…and rest awhile” (Mk 6:31). The week is characterized by Mass, Eucharistic adoration, confession, and the Liturgy of the Hours.
In addition to times of prayer, you will share meaningful fraternity with brother deacons and hear from experts in rural ministry, discuss challenges, and engage topics such as:
• Rural evangelization
• Sustaining an integrated diaconal life
• Developing lay leaders
• Integral ecology
• Preaching in a rural context
Many deacons report returning to their parishes refreshed and with a renewed vision for ministry.
